Spring Home Décor Trends for 2022

Spring Home Décor Trends for 2022

Working from home and lockdowns over the past few years have given us the time to reflect on our décor and brave the seasons trends when it comes to our homes.

Extra time on our hands, staring at the same 4 walls and lack of opportunity to express our individuality in fashion, has meant daring wallpapers, bold patterns, and quirky pieces so 2022 should be no exception!

We've bought some of our favourites set to be Spring 2022's home trends.

Curves

Curves are set to be big for Spring 2022 in home décor, from scalloped edges, to curvaceous vases, smooth lines on coffee tables and spherical lighting. Simplicity with the wow factor!

Circular Candle Holder

This stunning candle holder is perfect for the contemporary home!

Green

The colour green has been a statement piece in 2021 and it looks set to stay for 2022! with leafy wallpapers, block coloured walls, accent vases and coloured glassware, stay on trend with this connection to nature! Emeralds, Sage and all the greens in between will be seen this year - why not mix it up by using a contrast of greens?

If you like to change your décor with the seasonal trends, decorate your home in a neutral colour updating your accessories to express your interior flare! This not only saves you money, but allows you to change a rooms look with minimal effort!

Distressed Emerald Green Chive Vase

This stunning distressed chive vase in emerald green is the perfect pop to a plain wall!

Plants

Continuing with 2022's trending colour, plants are another way to add a pop to your neutral décor. The lockdown has seen many of us become green fingered (or certainly try!) but for those of you that are less successful with those green fingers, use succulents, air plants or ponytail palms as these are the easiest to keep alive (!) mixed with faux plants for the more dramatic effects in home décor. Many faux plants can also be transferred outside in the warmer weathers, making a great addition to a living space for the summer months!

This realistic 4ft Laurel Tree is perfect for adding height to an empty space in your room, without needing to remember to water it!

Earthy Tones

Another one that's sticking around for 2022 is the earthy tones we saw creeping in towards the end of 2022 - Beiges, creams, greige and rusts are set to be big this year. If you are less of an extremist when it comes to colours, stick to the softer end of the pallet adding rusts and tans in with soft textiles, vases, and wall art for an easier transition between seasons!

Tan Textured Throw

Our stunning Soho throw is practical and so on trend! Style with a neutral room for a pop of colour.

Sustainability

Perhaps a difficult one to achieve when trying to stay on trend with your home décor, but why not look to your larger home décor updates and do a Stacey Solomon by upcycling things you already have? Vinyl is a great way to update a dated kitchen worktop and good quality vinyl's can last for years! Pair that with a furniture paint, and hey presto, you have an updated and on trend kitchen, without sending your old one to landfill, not to mention the positive effect on your carbon footprint! A great paint for furniture is Frenchic - visit the Facebook forum page to see some fantastic transformations done by keen upcyclers!

Natural Materials

Possibly our favourite trend has to be the natural materials - Mrs Hinch's gorgeous new home is bound to inspire if you watch her instagram stories with her and her dads new workshop!

Parque flooring, wooden stools, and rustic wall hooks are perfect for character properties, while solid mango wood is stunning in more contemporary properties! Our favourite has to be this Mango Wood sideboard - contemporary, industrial, fresh and practical!
